European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Lufthansa Technik is to expand its operations in Malta by investing between EUR 50 and 60 million in new aircraft maintenance facilities. The facility, which will be the first outside of Germany to handle large aircrafts (Airbus A330 and A340 Aircraft) should start running as early as in 2008 and will eventually create 550 new jobs. The company's links with the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) which offers courses for aviation maintenance technicians were essential for the success of this project.
