Budget DIY, which has six stores across Northern Ireland, has gone into administration and up to 200 jobs are at risk. The company supplied value home improvement products.
The news was broken to staff on 24 November 2006, late in the afternoon. The administrators are expected to make a statement on the future of the stores on Monday, 27 November 2006.
