Description

Semiconductor company Infineon Technologies announced on 26 October 2006 its plans to cut 400 jobs worldwide in its communication sector of which 200 jobs shall be cut at its German sites in München, Nürnberg and Salzgitter.

This was said to be a consequence of the bankruptcy of BenQ which negatively affected Infineons business.
