The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Swedish furniture manufacturer Ikea announced on 20 November 2006 that it is to invest 80 million euro in a new store in Thiais (Val de Marne), in the south-west of Paris. 300 new jobs are expected to be created in summer 2007.
Ikea France, the second largest retailer of furniture in France, has 19 stores in the country and is aiming to own a total of 40 stores by 2016.
