Description

The outgoing CEO of Ericsson's Hungarian unit announced its plans to expand the workforce in the next one and half a year by 200 employees. The Hungarian unit of Ericsson, the world's leading maker of wireless telecommunications equipment, expects to increase the number of researchers by the end of 2007, while the number of staff in services will rise as well. Ericsson Hungary spends about HUF 10 billion a year on innovation. The company controls 70% of Hungary's market for GSM and the second-generation mobile services infrastructure. It is the only company in Hungary to have built a third-generation wireless network. Ericsson Hungary's new CEO said at a press conference that the company aims to achieve a bigger share of the landline and mobile broadband internet market in Hungary.
