European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The company De Poortere Frères, specialised in cord weaving for furniture, is bankrupt. Another company, SA Escolys has announced its decision to take the De Poortere Frères activities over and to invest 4 million euro in the company. However, out of the 300 workers employed in the company, 40 will be made redundant and 34 will receive early retirement.
