Description

Clearlab, a contact lenses manufacturer, is to offshore its operations to Singapore with the loss of 100 jobs in Plymouth. The firm said on 8 November 2006 that manufacturing, technical and research and development units were being moved to Singapore. Clearlab said all its Plymouth workers were at risk of redundancy and formal consultations had started. It comes after the company made financial losses this year and began a review of its UK operation.
