The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The largest telecommunication company in the Nordic countries, Telia, is planning to dismiss up to 100 employees in Denmark before the end of 2006. This was announced by the managing director in Denmark on 1 November 2006. According to legislation in connection with redundancies due to restructuring the employees are establishing a negotiation committee. Together with the management they have 21 days to reach possible alternatives to the dismissals or to the number of dismissals.
