Description
Outokumpu will close down its steel tube production unit in Fagersta by mid-2007, as it was announced on 27 October 2006. Some 130 employees will be affected by this redundancy plan.
Negotiations with trade unions have already started. In a press release, Outokumpu explained that the two heat exchange tube production lines in the Fagersta unit would be transferred to Nyby (Torshälla) and that other changes would be carried out to improve competitiveness.
