European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The American chemical group, Huntsman International LLC, announced on 26 October 2006 that the factory in Saint Fons (Rhône) will close before the end of 2008.
The factory employs 254 people and its activity is the manufacturing of synthetic rubber. All jobs are to be lost between January 2007 and December 2008.
Huntsman International LLC is to propose a plan of restructuring but the details are unknown at this stage. In June 2006, the group Huntsman International LLC acquired Ciba, a Swiss competitor.
