Description
Harman Becker, a manufacturer of loudspeakers for cars, announced in July 2006 that it would cut 133 jobs between November and December 2006. The company is strongly threatened by the reduction in the number of cars sold in France.
On 3 October 2006 the 250 employees of Harman Becker went on strike. The trade unions are against the decision of the company. The director opened a new discussion round with the trade unions, but between 80 and 133 employees might be laid off before the end of 2006.
