The Danish manufacturer of refrigerators and freezers, Vestfrost in Esbjerg, announced at a meeting with the employees on 20 September 2006 that 174 employees will be made redundant. Vestfrost has concluded an agreement with Turkish Vestel to relocate some of the production from Esbjerg to Turkey in order to achieve lower labour costs. Vestfrost has opened a jobcentre with the aim to find new jobs for the dismissed.
