European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Express transport company DHL Express subsidiary Kelpo Kuljetus started personnel negotiations concerning 250 drivers. The plan is to cut the amount of drivers by 50 per cent. According to DHL the grounds for negotiations is a substantial decrease in deliveries.
DHL emphasizes that some of the reductions will be made through pension arrangements, transfers to new positions and other solutions.
In the beginning of September 2006, DHL and Finland Post agreed on a business acquisition by which DHL bought out Finland Post's 49% of shares in Kelpo Kuljetus Fi Oy, the jointly owned domestic transport company, rendering Kelpokuljetus a fully-owned DHL subsidiary.
