Description

American Dell, running its business in Slovakia since late 2002, decided to expand its activities in the country. According to the company founder Michael Dell, the current subsidiary in Bratislava, which provides services for German speaking European countries, will be transformed to Dell European Business Centre providing services for Europe, Near East and Africa. Aside from financial services the new business centre will deal with marketing and human resources activities and will provide technical support for customers, too. Around 800 new jobs will be created there. As a result of this investment Slovakia becomes the third European country (Ireland ranks number one and UK number two) regarding the total number of employees working for Dell. According to the Dell founder, there will be no problem with hiring enough highly educated employees for the new business centre. The value of the new investment hasn't been disclosed yet.
