Description

More than 100 jobs will be created in West Cumbria with the expansion of a chemical plant. Eastman Chemical Company's facility in Workington is to increase production of acetate tow, used as a raw material for the manufacture of cigarette filters. The company said 100 temporary jobs will be created while production facilities are being extended, along with 25 new permanent jobs. Construction work is due to be completed in the first half of 2008.
