Description
The paper producer Arctic Paper will cut 50 out of 400 jobs at its unit in Munkedal, as announced on 7 September 2006. The CEO of the company, Gustaf Söreklint, explained that the decision was made as a result of the increase in energy prices and the overpoduction of high-quality paper in Europe. The redundancy plan is expected to lead to savings of some 20 millions SEK per year.
