European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Czech Anti-monopoly Office has approved the merger of Bakeries International Luxembourg S.A. and United Bakeries Luxembourg S.A., owners of the two Czech leading baking companies Odkolek and Delta Pekárny. Both Czech companies will co-operate mainly in restructuring and logistics with the goal to optimize production costs. Synergy effects will enable to invest more to the modernisation of lines, human capital and innovation processes. The new entity Delta-Odkolek will close 6 out of 18 Czech plants in the country and cut the current staff of 4,000 workers by at least 1,000 people.
