Description

Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, which runs Broomfield Hospital and St John's Hospital in Chelmsford, has already cut 150 posts to make savings. More than 100 additional jobs could be cut at the two hospitals in Essex to help meet a £14m budget deficit, a health trust revealed on Wednesday in an attempt to save an additional £7m this year.

Andrew Pike, the chief executive of the Mid Essex trust, told the BBC News website that the hospitals were looking at making savings 'across the board. We are looking at everything'.
