European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Bedford Hospital NHS Trust said it had reduced costs in a number of areas, including not filling vacancies, but further action was now needed. It said £5m would be saved by the loss of the equivalent of 121 full time jobs and changing the way it runs services. A union spokesperson from Unison said: 'It is the most wilful act of destruction Bedford has ever seen.'
