European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 9 August 2006 US-based IT-network supplier Cisco Systems announced its plans to increase the staff of its German sales department by 20%. No precise number or timeline is given. However, according to Cisco, the personnel of the sales department amounts to 60% of the company's workforce of about 700. About 84 new jobs will thus be created. Cisco Systems reacts on an increasing demand by medium sized enterprises and by corporations of the telecommunication sector in Germany.
