Description
German discount retailer Kaufland has inaugurated an outlet in Ruse, on the Danube, the company's fourth store launch in less than two months. Customers at the 7,000 sq m store will have a choice from 13,000 items, including 40 store brands.
Kaufland plans to open outlets in Varna, Yambol, Sliven and Vratsa by the end of 2006 and a second store in Sofia.
Local Kaufland manager Dimitar Spasov said recently the company is shopping around for store sites in Sofia and has already picked the Ovcha Kupel residential district as a definite location.
The first Kaufland store in Bulgaria opened in March in Plovdiv, the nation's second biggest city. The retailer opened its first store in Sofia in July.
