Description
On 3 August 2006 internet provider AOL announced to cut about 3,000 jobs in Germany, France and Great Britain. Worldwide, 5,000 jobs will be cut within the next six months. The announcement came just a day after AOL said it would start offering its e-mail and multimedia services to broadband users for free, as part of a drive to compete better with Yahoo and Google.
