127 employees out of 550 are being laid off at the Hungarian Ministry of Finance. The dismissals form part of streamlining the entire public administration system. The recently re-elected MSZP-SZDSZ coalition Government tries to reduce state expenditures and to restore the budgetary balance (‘austerity package’).
