Description
A minimum of 5500 and a maximum of 7000 people are planned to be dismissed from the currently 30,000 strong Hungarian Army, announced the Senior Secretary of State of the Hungarian Ministry of Defence. The exact number of dismissals is dependent upon whether the army's health care system remains within the organisation or not. The secretary of state explained that in the coming years "meagre resources" will be available for the army's activities and that priorities will have to reconsidered as well.
