Description

More than two hundred employees of the mine Capeni-Baraolt (Covasna county) will be made redundant in the next months. The mine will be closed by the end of the year. The first wave of collective dissmissals is planned for August and affects 30 employees. Currently, the mine Capeni-Baraolt employs 250 people, compared to 3,500 in 1989. The persons dissmissed will benefit from compensatory payments of RON 16,000. Every month the mine is extracting approximatelly 20,000 tons of coal.
