European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Manaut, a family company that manufactures components for central heating and steel components for bicycles, announced on 1 July 2006 that it is going to close its centre in Martorelles (Barcelona-Cataluña). There are not news yet about the date of the closure but 119 employees will be dismissed. The company management has informed that the reason for the closure is the 7 million euro losses that the company has had in the last three years.
