European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Betonika, a company, which belongs to Consolis group from Finland, one of the largest manufacturers of prefabricated concrete elements in Europe, intends to build a new factory and create 150 new work places in Trakai. The factory in Trakai will produce elements made of concrete for the construction of flats. In June, 2006 Betonika has also started the construction of a factory in Kaunas. It will produce elements made of concrete for industrial and commercial buildings and creates 120 new jobs. Both new factories will start production at the beginning of 2007. Consolis group has over 100 factories and operates in 20 countries. Betonika was established to give a foothold in the Lithuanian market for Consolis in 1999 and now it is the only subsidiary in Lithuania.
