Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In June 2006, a few days after the sale of its call centre in Montlucon to Transcom (Swedish group Kinnevik), Satel, which is experiencing a strong growth of activities (320 employees) has announced the opening of a new call centre in Moulins (Allier). The new center should create 100 new jobs between July and October 2006. The principal customers of Satel (France Télécom, AXA, GDF et Peugeot PSA) will benefit from this new center. But they will also have access to the centers in Vichy and Puy in Velay, where the creation of 50 new jobs in each one of these two centers is programmed. The launching of new activities has been announced by the CEO.
