The CEO of store 'La Samaritaine', a Parisian department store with iconic status, has announced the opening of a 'new' store in Paris (in Rue de Rivoli), by autumn 2011. The decision was made by the Louis Vuitton - Moët Hennessy (LVMH) group and the owner of the department store ('La Samaritaine') since 2001, and has taken both employees and unions by 'surprise'. Since 2005, the store was demolished (because of the risks of asbestos) and the building (82,000 square meters) is in construction until 2011. By the end of 2011, 1,400 new jobs will be created.
