Description
Belgoprocess, whose speciality is the processing of nuclear waste, has announced the loss of 100 jobs by 2010. According to the management, the company has been forced to reduce its workforce because of insufficient orders for the storage of nuclear waste. The trade unions believe that the solution lies in broadening the range of activities. We must be able to treat waste coming from abroad and also chemical waste, said Frans Geerts of the liberal trade union.
