Description

Diebold Inc. reported a 55 percent plunge in first-quarter profits, a drop attributed to restructuring of manufacturing operations and a global realignment of research and development. Diebold has about 14,000 employees in nearly 90 countries. Diebold has about 130 employees in France. Offering a full range of self-service, software, card-based products, as well as consulting and support services, the American Diebold has announced a restructuring programme affecting its unit in Cassis.The unit, in charge of the offer within the EMEA zone, is one of the five Diebold units in the world. The company expects revenue growth of 9 percent to 12 percent in security products. The unit (in Cassis) records a strong productivity. Neverthless, at the same time, the company announced the closure of unit in Cassis that threatened 130 workers.The American group will delocalize in Hungary.
