European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Monopol is a chain in household products and textiles. This Luxembourgian family firm had about ten selling points in Luxembourg. Ageing customers, an extremely bad turnover and, above all, no one to take over the firm has forced the managing director of the firm to cease the activities and to go into liquidation.
