European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The 'France Télécom' (French telecommunications Group) group-level works council has declared that the company has confirmed that 6,000 jobs would be created between January 2006 and December 2008. In June 2006, 'France Télécom' decided to offer integrated activities, with television, mobile communications, fixed-line and broadband internet all under the Orange brand. This strategy should enable 'France Télécom ' to further develop its activities. In addition, 'France Télécom'('Orange') plans to increase its presence in the entertainment sector.
