European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
According to the Lithuanian Labour Exchange (the country's employment office associated to the Ministry of Social Security and Labour), Briauna, furniture manufacturer in Kaunas, announced its bankruptcy on 12 April, 2006. The company employed 137 workers. All of those losing their jobs at Briauna will be employed in other local companies under temporary labour contracts.
