Description
Kronospan Holdings, incorporated in Cyprus two years ago, is planning construction of a third factory in Poland (in addition to the two large factories it already operates in Szczecinek and in Mielec). The 200 million euro factory will eventually employ over 500 people. Negotiations are now underway with local government bodies concerning the new plant's location. Talks have already been held with the authorities in Olsztyn and in Nidzica; Pasłęk not far from Elbląg (in Warmia and Mazury region), is also a possibility. The new factory will produce bitboard from lumber mill waste. Kronospan Holdings has manufacturing operations in 15 countries, with the largest numbers in Poland and in Germany.
