Description
Altis Semiconductor, a joint venture between Infineon Technologies, the German manufacturer of electronic components, and U.S. computer group IBM, presented plans for the reorganisation of its site in Corbeil-Essonnes, France. The site currently employs a total of 1,946 staff. The number of production teams at the factory will also be reduced from five to four. Management says that it needs to cut production costs in order to ensure that the site remains competitive, as international competition is intense.
