European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The reduction of 8,500 jobs within the Mercedes Car Group division, which Daimler-Chrysler announced in September 2005, is completed by 90%. By 31st March 2006, almost 7,800 employees had signed voluntary agreements to terminate the employment contract including 1,800 agreements on early retirement.
