The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The mobile phone operator Vodafone is going to lay off 150 employees in Sweden. The companys site in Karlskrona will be most affected by this plan, with some 126 jobs being cut. Telenor, which purchased the Swedish branch of Vodafone in Autumn 2005, declared that the company had been badly managed and that large-scale savings were required.
