Description
LG Philips, the South Korean producer of household electronics, is planning construction of a factory in Kobierzyce by Wrocław; the new plant will produce advanced television modules. The project cost approaches 430 million euro, 290 million euro of which will go towards associated projects by cooperating entities and suppliers. The new factory will employ 10000 people (in addition to the 3100 people already working for LG Philips in Poland). Poland is an attractive location for investors on account of relatively low labour costs coupled with a skilled workforce and with geographic proximity to major markets in the European Union.
