Intel, the American manufacurer of integrated circuits (including microprocessors, RAM and Flash memory units, microcontrollers, and perpheral systems for computers), operates a research and development centre in Gdańsk for which it is now planning to hire another 250 people (thus doubling its workforce). This move has been announced in response to growing demand for Intel products. Intel's annual Polish sales are roughly PLN 600 million; the company's global workforce approaches 100000 persons.
