Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Schneider Electric Bulgaria will built a second factory near the village of Radinovo, near Plovdiv. This was announced on the web-site of the Bulgarian Privatization Agency. The expansion plan of the company foresees to invest BGN 31 million during the first stage of the project in the period 2006 - 2008. This will include the construction of workshops, stores and offices. Some 320 jobs will be created in the company itself at this stage, with another 150 in supply and service companies. The second phase is foreseen for 2009 - 2011, when another 430 new jobs will be created.
Schneider Electric Bulgaria is a subsidiary of Schneider Electric Industries SAS -France, one of the world's largest manufacturers of equipment for electrical distribution and industrial control and automation employing 85,000 people worldwide. Schneider Electric Bulgaria operates another factory in Bulgaria with 250 employees, situated near the town of Peroustitsa.
