European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In March 2006, the company Real-Hypermarket, which is the hypermarket division of the German group Metro, opened its first store on the local market in Timişoara, following an investment worth EUR 15 million. Real-Hypermarket has 328 hypermarkets of which 288 are located in Germany and 40 abroad. The number of employees of the company worldwide is approximately 50,000.
