T-Systems Enterprise Services, a daughter company of Deutsche Telekom, will invest in Slovakia. Company management decided to establish its worldwide service centre in Košice. T-Systems provides services in the area of information and communication technology for a great number of multinational corporations, big public institutions as well as medium sized and large companies. Worlwide, it employs around 52,000 people in more than 20 countries. According to T- Systems board member, Olaf Heyden, the company plans to increase the number of employees in Košice to 80 by July 2006. Košice was selected from a range of other candidates as the site providing best conditions for running this international business. 'Our aim is to establish here an IT Centre of Excellence', said Olaf Heyden. According to private Slovak news agency, SITA, the number of employees could increase to 300 by the end of 2006.
