Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The water tap manufacturer Oras will cut down 120 jobs at its main plant in Rauma in Finland in the course of two years in order to improve its competitiveness. Most of the personnel cuts will be effected without redundancies.
In addition to Rauma, Oras has production in Norway and Poland. The company employs a total of 1,100 per-sons, 750 working at Rauma.
