Description

Shell has recently announced its decision to open a finance and accountancy centre in the Kraków Special Economic Zone in a PLN 27 million project. The centre will initially employ 400 people, and this figure will grow to 800. One of the significant factors that affected Shell's final decision was the opportunity of obtaining a public financial support from the Polish government. Similar finance and accountancy offices have already been opened around Poland by almost 40 multinational companies; according to some estimates, by 2010 similar operations will employ 550000 Poles.
