Description

A fast ferry firm is planning to bring new cross Channel services to the Kent port of Dover, creating about 700 jobs. Navmed Limited has been formed by former Hoverspeed employees, and aims to be in operation by May. It will initially offer services to Calais and Boulogne, then to Ostend, and plans to use three ships. It is also aiming to re-establish a ferry service from Folkestone, and says it wants to offer a first class, high quality service for passengers.
