Description

The Swiss company Alu Menziken Aerospace announced its intention to invest €6 million in Bistriţa-Năsăud county (Nord-Vest region), in an industrial site for aluminium processing.

The new factory will specialize in aluminium extrusion, mainly used in manufacturing airplane components.

Alu Menziken Aerospace is a worldwide leading manufacturer of small and medium-sized aluminium extrusions as well as a logistics services provider for the global airline industry. The group owns four factories in Switzerland and the United States.

Alu Menziken Aerospace made public its intention through the Romanian Agency for Foreign Investment (Agenţia Româna pentru Investiţii Străine, ARIS) and is currently looking for 4 hectares of land to start construction on the factory.

If the investment comes through, it will create 250 new jobs in Bistriţa-Năsăud, and over a four-year period, 15% to 20% of the profit will be reinvested.
