Description
The meat processing company, Pozmeat, fell into liquidation in September 2004 after years of quarrelling between individual and corporate shareholders, which have traded accusations of over-investing, excessive debt, and
obstruction of plans to improve the situation. The company went bankrupt in February 2005 and all workers were fired. Now Pozmeat’s premises are to be sold to a Dutch investor, who wants to reactivate production. Pozmeat is to employ circa 1,000 people, mainly women.
