Description
Geest is shutting its Lincs Cuisine plant in Spalding by the end of April 2006 with the loss of 140 jobs. The firm will concentrate on preparing ready meals in Holbeach.
Paula Cooper from Geest said the company was trying to find alternative work for the staff. 'Although redundancy letters have been sent out, we're working with people to reduce that number,' she said. The company said it had more than 80 vacancies and would try to relocate staff.
