Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Jacquemard announced on 3 October 2005 the suppression of 296 jobs in Romilly-sur-Seinethe (Aube region). The costs are seen as too high in comparaison to Asian or Eastern Europe workforce. Hence, the production of the site will stop and will be delocalized in the manufacture of Romania which opened in 2002, which employs 420 workers in 2005.
